This blog documents our move from rainy London to sunny Portugal. We are a married couple from South London soon moving to Tavira, South Portugal. I talk a lot, rant a bit, and hopefully will provide some interesting information and perhaps at times some limited entertainment! Its a bit of a scary time , but believe me, well worth it in the long run. Its been three and a half years now for us and I’ll never go back to uk (yuk) things get very tough sometimes moneywise, but so much other good stuff far outweighs the tough bits.

We’ve got about a month to go, if everything goes well with the house sale. And I’m so nervous!!! I keep imagining any ache or pain is something mega serious and I’ll end up in the hospital or worse and won’t be able to go!!!

That’s quite funny to me as I had every possible kind of psychosomatic illness going in the few months before we left – I then actually got an abscess about 3 weeks before and had to have a tooth extracted which was, as you can imagine, tremendous fun!
